About
We know Bali from the inside of a hotel.
The Bali Host began in 2015 developing boutique villas in Ubud. We use that hospitality experience and local knowledge to recommend places to stay, days worth taking across the island, and private charters through Komodo with our partners in Labuan Bajo.

Tri Hita Karana
The principle the company was founded on: a good relationship with the divine, with other people, and with the land you are standing on. It is how the Balinese live, and it is the standard we hold a place to before we recommend it.
In practice that means we recommend what we would send a friend to, we work with the same families and operators year after year, and we would rather tell you a place is wrong for you than fill a room.
Luxury here is not the view. It is the service, the authenticity of what you actually get to do, and attention to the details nobody mentions until they are missing.
What we hold to
Four words, in the order we mean them.
Satisfaction
The commitment the company was built around. If a guest leaves with something unresolved, we did not finish the job.
Teamwork
Housekeeping, drivers, kitchen, front desk and the person answering your message are the same team, not separate departments passing you along.
Understanding
Reading what a guest actually wants from their days here, which is rarely the same as what they asked for on the booking form.
Dedication
Treating a property as though it were ours, and a guest's week as though we had to live it too.
Tell us when you’re coming.
Send us your dates, how many of you there are and roughly what kind of trip you want. We’ll come back with what’s free, what it costs and what we would do with the time. Usually the same day.
Asking costs nothing and books nothing.
